Enventive is a full-featured mechanical engineering software product that uses tolerance analysis as an integral part of the optimization process. Enventive introduces the concept of intelligent modeling, an infrastructure for incorporating product function in geometric models. Enventive's unique ability to combine analysis, simulation, design, and optimization enables engineers to:

  • Analyze the variation in a force as a mechanism moves through its range of motion
  • Embed formulas computing functional properties in component models
  • Optimize critical parameters from an embedded tolerance analysis report, simultaneously minimizing variation while driving parameters to meet design goals.

  • Tolerance Analysis: By providing cohesive geometric modeling, equation solving, backsolving, and optimization, Enventive can analyze in seconds what requires hours in competing products. Tolerance analysis reports are written to an integrated Excel spreadsheet that is bi-directionally associative with the Enventive model and provides a familiar and flexible view of the results for engineers, designers and managers.
  • Conceptual Design: Enventive's models are comprehensive, working representations of a part, not just sketches of geometric objects.
  • Travel and Effort Studies: Enventive's force modeling coupled with its equation solving, tolerance analysis, and kinematic capabilities make it a powerful tool for travel and effort studies, such as determining the force to move a lever, open a latch or operate a clutch.
  • Mechanisms & Tolerance-in-Motion: Users can automatically step a mechanism through its complete range of motion, while concurrently running tolerance analysis to assess variation across a range of motion.
  • Performance Modeling: Enventive combines geometric and mathematical modeling. Dimensions can be directly used in equations, and equations can be used to drive dimensions. Tolerance analysis may be run on any computed parameter.
