Conditional Contact and Monte Carlo Simulation
|
|
This is a two-part seminar:
- Conditional Contact. This occurs when contact between surfaces may change as a result of tolerance variations. In other words, depending on the size of features A and B, surface C may contact either A, or B. In this seminar we'll teach you how to use logic to model these kinds of situations.
- Use of Crystal Ball* to run Monte Carlo simulations from the Enventive tolerance analysis report. For problems involving: a) conditional contact; b) non-linear models; or c) models in which non-normal statistical distributions are important, Monte Carlo simulation is the preferred method of analysis.
*Crystal Ball is owned by Oracle and is the leading Monte Carlo simulation software in the market.
