Changing the format for viewing equations

You can view equations in text format or in natural mathematical notation (sometimes referred to as "built-up") format.

For example, the two equations shown below are in text format, which is the default display for equations.

Here are the same equations viewed in natural mathematical notation format:

Click the natural format toggle at the top of the Equation editor.

You can use the up/down arrows to the right of the natural format toggle to increase/decrease the display size for the equations.
To see the equations in text format, click the natural format toggle again.
