Updating the tolerance analysis report

When you run tolerance analysis and subsequently make changes to a model, the tolerance analysis report is disconnected from the model. This guards against overwriting the values updated in the model with the tolerance report values, which are no longer up to date.

When model changes cause the tolerance report to be disconnected, the Contributor section of the report shows the message **Disconnected**. If you change values in the disconnected spreadsheet, they will not affect the model.

If you want to continue using  the report interactively with the model, you must update the report to bring it up to date and reconnect it to the model.

If you want to retain the legacy data, do not update the report. You can run another tolerance analysis report, which will be written to a separate tolerance analysis worksheet, leaving the legacy data intact for comparison or other purposes. You can use the worksheets in the same way as any other tolerance analysis worksheets; for example, you can rename a particular worksheet to more easily identify it later.

To update a tolerance analysis report with changes made to the model:

  1. Right-click anywhere in the tolerance analysis report you wish to update.

  2. From the shortcut menu that appears, select Enventive > Update Current Analysis.

The spreadsheet is updated with any model data changes that affect the tolerance analysis report. Note that any changes to a parameter's Name and Description are not reflected in existing reports when the report is updated. You must run a new tolerance analysis to see changes to Name and Description reflected in the report.
