Enventive Concept 4.4 includes important fixes to issues found in previous versions of Enventive Concept. These release notes also list known issues in this version of Enventive Concept that are planned to be fixed in an upcoming release.
The following fatal errors (those resulting in a crash) have been resolved in this release.
Crash occurred when opening certain large models.
Crash occurred when creating a vector after previously deleting a vector. (Reference #4806)
The following non-fatal issues have been resolved in this release.
Sigma contribution values for line-to-line contributors were incorrect. (This issue did not affect other calculations; only the sigma value in the Advanced Contributor section of the tolerance analysis report was affected.) (Reference #4828)
Angle dimensions between intersecting lines were not created as expected. (Reference #4820)
In Monte Carlo, accuracy values less than 1 did not work as expected. (Reference #4817)
Solver not properly updating DOF count. (Reference #4816, 4713)
Errors when reloading an assembly after instance changes. (Reference #4815)
Monte Carlo was simulating "float" for floating pin-in-hole constraints set to "Interference." (Reference #4814)
Made numerous improvements to behavior of concentric and coincident circles. (Reference #4812)
As a result of these improvements, when constraining two circles, users should:
- Use a concentric constraint when a tolerance is desired
- Use a coincident constraint, which will not apply a tolerance, for construction constraints
For some configurations, the Modules view disappeared after undocking, and restarting Concept was necessary to make the undocked view visible. With this release, undocking the Modules view using the dock/undock button properly opens the Modules view as an external dialog; however, issues when dragging the view may remain for some configurations. (Reference #4804)
Manually entered equations that referenced parameters in a model instance named identically to its master model did not function properly.
This issue has been resolved in this release, but existing equations must be fixed manually after updating to Concept 4.4. To fix the equations, rename the instances so they are not the same as the master model, and then lock parameters in the models as needed. (Reference #4798, 4792)
When opening a nested assembly that contains a modified master model, the Model Explorer was not indicating that sub-assemblies need saving. (Reference #4795)
Solution errors occurred related to circle-tangent-to-polycurve constraints. (Reference #4794)
If the Stop button was clicked during perturbation, the value being perturbed did not return to its original value. (Reference #4793)
Unable to drive circle along polycurve. (Reference #4789)
Mean Shift field was not editable. (Reference #4784)
Monte Carlo did not work with some transitional fits for floating pin-in-hole constraints. (Reference #4486)
COM API changes for Enventive 360 compatibility.
The following issues exist in this release and are planned to be fixed in an upcoming release.
Incorrect tolerance analysis results are computed in some cases where datum shift has been applied to two circular features acting together as primary and secondary datums. With the exception of stack measurements to the primary datum, tolerance analysis results are incorrect when a separate gage from the primary and secondary datum evaluation gage(s) is required for evaluating features positioned relative to the primary and secondary datums.
In the Concept spreadsheet, when drag-select or extend-select is used to select a block of cells for creating a chart, and the selection exceeds 25 rows, the preview images may fail to display in the Insert Chart dialog. (The chart can still be created by selecting the area in the Insert Chart dialog where the preview would normally appear.) (Reference #4673)
In the Concept spreadsheet, Update Analysis updates the entire tolerance analysis report spreadsheet, so any user-added data (such as additional calculations, notes, etc.) outside the tolerance analysis report cells is not retained. (Reference #4672)
