Enventive Engineering, Inc. is a privately held Delaware corporation committed to providing mechanical engineers with a software infrastructure supporting collaborative component-level and system-level organization, synthesis, analysis, and optimization of product functional information.
Enventive is led by Ralph Gifford, formerly VP Marketing and Mechanical Advantage Product Manager at Cognition Corporation. Vince Huffaker, Ph.D., previously software development manager for Cognition’s Mechanical Advantage product, heads up development of Enventive’s UI and application level software. Jim Hurt leads Enventive’s core technology developments. Prior to Enventive, Jim was a Technology Fellow at SDRC.
In order to cut time to market and maintain quality standards, manufacturers need to accelerate the rate at which they identify and solve potential problems during the product development process.
Studies done by automotive and aerospace companies show that engineers spend 60% of a typical work week pursuing information held by suppliers, coworkers, and customers. Therefore, if manufacturers are going to cut time to market, one of the most effective strategies they can follow is to provide rapid access to critical information, and thereby dramatically reduce the time their engineers spend looking for information.
Enventive® software provides engineers with an intuitive, easy-to-use framework that enables engineers to collaboratively accumulate and disseminate component and system-level product functional information. Suppliers can embed functional information into component models that customers plug into system-level models. These component models can verify proper application and alert engineers to potential problems.
