Enventive® software’s force modeling capability coupled with equation solving, kinematic, and tolerance analysis capabilities make it a powerful tool for travel and effort studies, such as determining the force to move a transmission shift lever, open a latch, or operate a clutch. The following simple example uses Enventive’s force modeling capabilities to solve for the torque required to statically hold in position a mechanism that’s being acted upon by a spring force.
