Locking and unlocking parameters
A variable's lock status can be viewed and modified from the Properties Explorer, the parameter table, or the sketch.
- In the Properties Explorer: Click the Lock icon in the Selected Parameter area to lock and unlock the parameter.
-
In the parameter table: Click the icon in the "L" (Lock status) column to lock and unlock the parameter.
- In the sketch: Right-click on a locked or unlocked dimension and select Lock/Unlock from the shortcut menu to toggle the lock status.
If a parameter is derived from the result of an equation or dependency on other dimensions, the lock status displays an derived symbol in the Lock column. You cannot change a derived lock status using the methods described above; however, unlocking one or more driving parameters will unlock the associated derived parameter. You can then change which parameter drives another, as described in Driving parameter values.
