Working with force value (magnitude) and direction

Changing the direction of a force and changing the sign of a force value (that is, from positive to negative or vice versa) are separate functions. Changing the sign of the force value changes the direction in which the force acts, but does not change the direction of positive.

For example, if you draw a vertical force pointing down, it will have a -90 Direction and the positive direction will be down -- the direction in which the arrow is pointing. If you change the sign of the force Value to negative, the force arrow will point upwards but the Direction value will not change.

The sketch always displays the magnitude (absolute value), while the real value displays in the Properties Explorer and parameter table.
