Changing a parameter value

To change a value in the parameter table:

• Click in the Value column in the parameter table and type the desired value,

or                                                                                  

• Use an equation to calculate the desired value.

You can also modify parameter values in the value area of the Properties Explorer or, to make incremental changes, use stepping in the Properties Explorer.

Derived parameters

Derived parameter values are not modifiable directly in the parameter table because they are calculated by an equation or by other dimension values, and do not have alternate solutions. When parameter values are determined by equations, they become interdependent. For example, if a+b=c, changing the value for a or b automatically changes the value for c. In such cases, you must change c to be a driving parameter if you wish to change its value.
